Who We Are - Trekfest

- Trekfest will go on as scheduled to be held rain or shine

and will only be cancelled due to Pandemic or severe weather.

- In the event of severe weather that has the potential to impact 

the public’s safety outdoors, event representatives will determine 

if a brief delay is necessary for any event. Because of changing 

weather conditions, it may be necessary to wait until close to the 

event start time to make a decision. 

- The stage is covered to protect the band and equipment from 

the elements. An outdoor concert can still be held even if it is raining, so concert-goers should plan accordingly.

- The fireworks will go as scheduled as long as the weather 

conditions make it possible as determined by the contractor.

- The parade is scheduled to be held rain or shine. 

Summer weather can be hot. Plan accordingly and use your own 

judgment when deciding to attend or participate.

- In the event of cancellation, the parade will not be rescheduled. 

Hundreds of people volunteer to participate in the parade, and there

are many behind-the-scenes logistics involved with staging, street 

closures, public safety and more -- so rescheduling the parade for 

a later date is not possible.

South Entrance to Hall Park, or behind F&M Bank. No outside food or

beverages are permitted within the park during Trekfest.

- Trekfest is open and free to the public in general.  There are some

activities that: Registration Prior is Required or you must Pay in 

advance or at the start of the event to participate.  Look for these

symbols on the EVENT SCHEDULE [R] and [$].  If the symbol has a number after it [R1] there is specific additional info. to that item listed at the bottom of the EVENT SCHEDULE.

- No!  Do not light sparklers in any Riverside Park. 

They are a safety hazard (sparklers burn hot enough to cause 

third-degree burns) and a fire hazard (especially when the grass 

is dry), and used sparklers left on the ground can cause injury 

when grass is mowed. Sparklers are best used at your own risk on 

your own property under close adult supervision.

- Yes, but you are required to clean up after your pet or you will be

asked to leave.  We even have a PET SHOW [listed in the Event Schedule].

The fireworks are held at "dusk".

- No, no and No.  No outside food or drink is alowed in Trekfest

designated areas.  Please be considerate, food and drink sales help 

pay the cost of putting on Trekfest every year.

- Items like pop-up canopies, tents, or large sun shades are not 

allowed during the performances. These could block the view of those 

behind you. Please be courteous; not everyone is able to stand and 

move to see around obstructions.

- Yes.  Tables, chairs, picknick tables and bleachers are available

on a first come - first serve basis.

Feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets to the Park but do not

expect to "reserve a spot" by setting down an item and walking away.

Our staff and volunteers cannot monitor blankets and chairs in the 

park.  Please be respectful of other people's spots. Our park is a 

large park with plenty of room for concert seating. Do not set up 

items that block the view of other spectators.

-  We have a few different food vendors in Hall Park every year.

Hall Park has a consession stand by the ball fields.

- Porta potties are available at various locations in Hall Park

The consession stand by the ball fields in Hall Park has M/F restrooms also.

- If you feel things may be too loud for you and/or small children

it is recommended you bring personal hearing protection.

An all volunteer committee called R.A.C.C. (Riverside Area

Community Club) organize Trekfest. Financial support from the City, 

sponsors, donations, and a others make the celebration possible. 

Volunteer and Be Part of the Excitement:

Each year, volunteers come together to help host one of Riverside's largest community events. Participants enjoy top-name entertainers, a community atmosphere, and a wonderful 

time in both Hall and Railroad Parks.
